The story of Mindful Meadows
Mindful Meadows is not a separate country — it is a clearing in Moss Land, the place where the winding stepping-stone path opens out and the stones stop travelling and settle into a loose ring in the grass. One big rounded tree stands alone near the centre, the only tree in a wide roll of low green hills scattered with daisies, and the ring of flat warm stones beneath it is the sitting place. That is the whole geography, and it is the whole idea: everywhere else on the route you travel, and here you stop. This is where Chief Mindfulness teaches, where the iguana glows on his stone, where Mike does his masterclass in nothing — the room in the bright world where being still is the entire activity. It also owns the best golden hour anywhere: the low sun on the horizon, the sky going lilac and peach, the long soft shadows off the one tree. Stillness, it turns out, has a home address.
